The rest is a field mix that we «inherited» with the vineyard in Monforte. It was picked together and vinified also in rosé. The final blend was made one month prior to bottling.

The vineyard: the most part of the grapes come from our main vineyard in Monforte d’Alba, where the previous owners have experimented with different Piemontese variteies, not traditional for the Langhe area.

The varieties: Favorita is the name for Vermentino/Roll used in Piedmont. The other varieties are all local and typical for other areas (Monferrato, Asti, Chieri, Acqui).

The wine: A delicate and elegant wine, a refreshing summer apperitif that could easily go with some light antipasti, but also with red sauce pasta and pizza.

The name: «carina» in Italian means «lovely», but written with a «K» becomes a girl’s name.
